Kirby Air Riders Schedules Global Test Ride Weekends Ahead of Nov. 20 Switch 2 Launch

The director says it ships as a complete release with no DLC, backed by a day-one update.

Overview

  • Nintendo will run the Global Test Ride on November 8–9 and November 15–16, with the demo client available starting November 7 and a Nintendo Switch Online membership required for online play.
  • The demo features Lessons, Air Ride, and City Trial; Air Ride includes Floria Fields, Waveflow Waters, and Mount Amberfalls, and paddock lobbies hold up to 16 players versus 32 in the retail game.
  • Masahiro Sakurai confirmed there are no plans for post-launch DLC and he is not planning to turn Kirby Air Riders into an ongoing series.
  • Sakurai said a day-one update will implement some items shown in the Direct, advising physical buyers to download the patch at launch.
  • An extensive accessibility suite includes in-game button remapping, adjustable text size, colorblind filters, HUD presets, on-screen outlines, field-of-view controls, and motion-sickness mitigations like reduced camera shake and tilt.
