Kings lock up All-Star center Domantas Sabonis with massive $217 million extension

The Sacramento Kings signed Domantas Sabonis to a five-year, $217 million contract extension.
The deal will keep Sabonis with the Kings through the 2027-28 season.
Sabonis is a three-time NBA All-Star who averaged 19.1 points and 12.3 rebounds per game last season.
The Kings renegotiated Sabonis's contract for this season to pay him nearly $31 million and will pay him an average of $47 million over the subsequent four years.
The extension ensures the Kings will keep their star center from becoming a free agent in 2024.
