- Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, IOA president PT Usha and British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron led the New Delhi ceremony, which organisers said carries messages of unity, equality and friendship.
- The baton is on public display at Delhi’s DLF Avenue Saket mall on November 12–13 before departing on November 14 for a three-day programme in Ahmedabad from November 15–17.

- India’s baton, designed by visual artist Aaquib Wani, features motifs of native flowers, a peacock and an elephant along with scripts representing Indian literature.
- Ahmedabad has been recommended as the sole candidate to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, with a final decision scheduled at the Commonwealth Sport General Assembly in Glasgow on November 26.
