King of the Hill Revival Details Voice Cast Changes, On-Screen Tributes and Dale’s Mayoral Win

Series creators and cast previewed narrative shifts with a full-season release strategy for the long-awaited comeback.

Overview

  • All 10 episodes of Season 14 will premiere on Hulu on August 4 with a simultaneous full-season drop rather than weekly installments.
  • Showrunner Saladin K. Patterson and creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels explained at San Diego Comic-Con how Toby Huss is honoring Johnny Hardwick’s original performance in taking on Dale Gribble.
  • The revival will feature on-screen memoriam cards honoring Johnny Hardwick, who recorded six episodes before his 2013 passing, and Jonathan Joss, who completed lines prior to his death in June 2025.
  • The series recasts several characters of color to align actors with their backgrounds, including Ki Hong Lee as Chane, Ronny Chieng as Kahn and Tai Leclaire as Joseph, and adds a new character Brian Robertson voiced by Keith David.
  • The time-skipped storyline returns Hank and Peggy to Arlen from Saudi Arabia and reveals that Dale Gribble ran for and won the town’s mayoral seat.
