King Charles to Host Germany’s President for December State Visit at Windsor

Overview

  • Buckingham Palace said President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender will be hosted at Windsor Castle from Dec. 3–5.
  • It will be the first inward state visit by a German president in 27 years and only the fifth since 1958.
  • This will be the third incoming state visit of 2025, following President Emmanuel Macron in July and U.S. President Donald Trump in September.
