• Both leaders are in Scotland but will not meet until President Trump’s state visit at Windsor Castle from September 17 to 19.

• He hosted Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Turnberry for discussions on US-UK trade ties and global security issues including Gaza and the Russia-Ukraine war.
• King Charles traveled to Dounreay in Caithness to unveil a plaque commemorating 1950s plutonium and uranium research and met sea cadets and Royal National Lifeboat Institution volunteers.
• The King marked the 50th anniversary of Pacific Nuclear Transport Limited at Scrabster Harbour by touring the Pacific Heron vessel and attending a reception with industry and community representatives.
