Overview
- Kinepolis signed a deal to take over Emagine’s operations at 14 cinemas totaling 177 screens and about 18,000 seats in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
- The purchase price is $105 million with up to $15 million more contingent on U.S. box office performance in 2025.
- The acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2025 and will be funded through an incremental €100 million committed term loan under Kinepolis’ existing facility.
- Emagine locations will continue operating under the Emagine brand with an emphasis on continuity for customers and employees.
