- Kiefer Sutherland is set to narrate a three-part docuseries on Apple TV+ titled 'John Lennon: Murder Without a Trial', examining the murder of the iconic musician, John Lennon.
- The docuseries will look into Lennon's cultural influence, his music, and the investigation and conviction of his confessed killer, Mark David Chapman.
- Producers obtained extensive Freedom of Information Act requests from the New York City Police Department, the Board of Parole, and the District Attorney’s office, leading to exclusive interviews with eyewitnesses and some of Lennon’s closest friends.
- The series will also provide previously unseen crime scene photos and includes interviews with Chapman’s defense lawyers, psychiatrists, detectives, and prosecutors.
- The announcement of the docuseries coincided with news of the release of 'Now and Then', a track that John Lennon wrote and recorded before his death, completed over the years by his bandmates and announced as the Beatles final new song.
- While a release date for the series has not yet been announced, it promises to shed new light on Lennon’s life and murder, as well as revealing new details about the shocking crime.
