Kids Company Founder Camila Batmanghelidjh Dies at 61

Batmanghelidjh, known for her advocacy for Britain's most vulnerable children, passed away peacefully after a long illness.

Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder of the Kids Company charity, has died aged 61.
She was known for her work in advocating for Britain's most vulnerable children, having founded two groundbreaking charities, Place2Be and Kids Company.
Despite facing allegations of mismanagement in 2015, a High Court cleared her of wrongdoing.
Batmanghelidjh had been ill for many months and died peacefully in her sleep on New Year's Day, following a birthday celebration with her family.
Tributes have been paid to her by figures such as Harriet Harman, Labour MP, and Steve Chalke, founder of the Oasis Charitable Trust.
