Kia Unveils EV5 Mid-Size SUV With 329-Mile Range for Europe and UK

Year-end deliveries will launch the EV5 with advanced cabin tech across Europe ahead of UK availability in the fourth quarter.

Overview

  • The EV5 features an 81.4 kWh battery that provides up to 329 miles of WLTP range and supports 120 kW fast charging for a 10–80 percent charge in around 30 minutes.
  • A single front-mounted 160 kW motor generates 214 bhp and 295 Nm of torque, propelling the mid-size SUV to 62 mph in approximately 8.4 seconds.
  • The cabin integrates twin 12.3-inch driver and infotainment displays with a 5.3-inch climate control panel, Vehicle-to-Grid hardware and over-the-air software updates.
  • Cargo capacity spans 566 litres with seats upright and expands to 1,650 litres when folded flat, complemented by a 44-litre front trunk and a drawer-style centre console.
  • UK pricing is expected to start in the mid-£40,000s when deliveries begin in the fourth quarter.
