Kia Unveils EV2, Its Smallest and Most Affordable Electric SUV, at Brussels Motor Show

Production begins in Slovakia in February, with long-range and GT-Line versions arriving mid-year.

  • The Europe-focused B-segment EV offers 42.2 kWh and 61.0 kWh batteries with estimated WLTP ranges of 317 km and 448 km, respectively.
  • Built on a cost-saving 400V E-GMP variant, it supports DC fast charging from 10–80% in about 30 minutes and 11 kW or 22 kW AC charging.
  • Bidirectional charging (V2L and V2G), Remote Smart Parking Assist, a digital key, OTA updates, and a triple-screen cabin headline the feature set.
  • Flexible four- or five-seat layouts provide up to 403 liters of boot space plus a 15-liter frunk, with ADAS including Highway Driving Assist 2 and blind-spot cameras.
  • Kia has not announced official pricing or U.S. plans; media guidance points to roughly €30,000 in Europe and under £25,000 in the UK.
