Kia UK Unveils Unique Pride EV Restomod for 80th Anniversary

The one-off electric vehicle transforms a 1996 Kia Pride into a powerful EV with modern touches while retaining its classic charm.

Kia UK collaborated with Electrogenic to convert the 1996 Kia Pride into a fully electric vehicle, celebrating the company's 80th anniversary.
The Pride EV features a new electric motor delivering up to 107 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque, replacing the original 60hp petrol engine.
The restomod retains the original five-speed manual transmission, enhancing driver engagement with a modern performance-oriented clutch kit.
The vehicle offers three driving modes—Eco, Sport, and Auto—tailoring power and torque for different driving experiences.
With a 20kWh battery capacity, the Pride EV can achieve a range of up to 120 miles in Eco mode, although it is not available for general sale.
