Kia Sets Australian Prices for 2026 EV6 as 84kWh Battery Lifts Range

Australian delivery is imminent despite unresolved local charging figures and a disputed GT power claim.

Overview

  • Prices rise by $70 across the range, starting at $72,660 before on-road costs for the Air RWD and topping at $99,660 for the GT AWD.
  • All variants now use an 84kWh battery, with WLTP range claims of 582km (Air RWD), 560km (GT-Line RWD), 522km (GT-Line AWD) and 450km (GT).
  • The update brings revised bumpers, new ‘Star Map’ lighting and wheels, an overhauled centre console, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Kia Connect OTA, and fingerprint start on select grades.
  • Kia says the GT receives local chassis tuning with stiffer anti-roll bars, softer front springs and a new steering calibration to improve grip and feedback.
  • Motor outputs are unchanged for most grades according to one report, while another reports a GT increase to 478kW/770Nm; overseas DC fast-charging claims reach about 258kW, with Australian figures yet to be confirmed.
