Kia Launches K4 Sportswagon With 604-Litre Boot for Europe

The Mexico-built estate launches in Europe first, with U.S. availability still undecided.

Overview

  • Kia has officially revealed the K4 Sportswagon for European sale, with production set in Mexico and no U.S. launch confirmed.
  • The estate measures 4.695 m in length on a 2.72 m wheelbase and offers 604 litres of luggage space, 166 litres more than the hatch, plus a powered tailgate.
  • Powertrains include 1.0-litre and 1.6-litre turbo petrol units with mild-hybrid availability, paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT, and a full-hybrid is due later this year.
  • The cabin mirrors other K4 variants with dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital key and integrated streaming services.
  • Pricing for Europe has not been announced; Autocar positions the model against estate rivals such as the Skoda Octavia Estate, VW Golf Estate and Peugeot 308 SW.
