- Kia officially presented the EV3 for the Mexican market this week and confirmed the model will be built at its Pesquería, Nuevo León plant to supply Mexico and export markets.
- The EV3 ships in two trims with a single front motor making 201 hp and two battery options of 58.3 kWh and 81.4 kWh that Kia rates at about 436 km and 605 km of range respectively.
- Kia set Mexican prices at 689,700 pesos for the EX and 767,700 pesos for the SXL and said both trims are now available through its dealer network nationwide.
- The company included buyer support measures such as a 7.4 kW home wall charger with up to 20 meters of installation, Kia Connect for over‑the‑air updates and a digital key, NACS fast‑charging compatibility, and long powertrain and battery warranties.
- Kia framed the EV3 as a response to strong growth in Mexico’s B‑segment SUV market and argued lower operating costs and local manufacturing will help make EV ownership more accessible for younger drivers and daily users.
