Kia EV5 Opens for Orders Sept. 8 in Germany at €45,990, Deliveries Start Mid‑November

The compact electric SUV slots between EV3 and EV9 on Kia’s 400‑volt E‑GMP platform with up to 530 km WLTP range.

Overview

  • At launch the EV5 comes only as a front‑wheel‑drive long‑range model with a 160 kW motor, 81.4 kWh battery, 0–100 km/h in 8.4 seconds and DC fast charging up to 150 kW from 10 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes.
  • Trim pricing is set at €45,990 for Air, €48,990 for Earth and €51,990 for GT‑Line, plus a limited GT‑Line Launch Edition at €52,990 that includes all options and a stated €2,880 value advantage.
  • Kia says the Launch Edition will be produced first for shorter lead times, bundling features such as a panoramic glass roof, metallic paint and the DriveWise package with head‑up display and digital key.
  • Charging perks include one year without the Kia Charge Advanced base fee, a free year of Aral Pulse Light with prices from €0.49/kWh and, for orders placed by December 31, a free year of Aral Pulse Premium from €0.39/kWh.
  • Usability highlights include a 4.61‑meter length, 566–1,650 liters of cargo space with an even load floor up to two meters, a 44.4‑liter frunk and up to 1,200 kg braked towing when equipped, with Plug‑and‑Charge and an EV route planner with battery preconditioning on board.
