Kia EV4 Sedan Priced From $49,990 in Australia, Deliveries This Month

Australian cars use a 150kW front motor on Kia’s 400V platform to deliver up to 612km WLTP range.

Overview

  • Three trims are confirmed at launch—Air, Earth and GT-Line—priced at $49,990, $59,190 and $64,690 before on-road costs.
  • The lineup offers 58.3kWh and 81.4kWh batteries for 456km and 612km WLTP range respectively, with 0–100km/h claims of 7.4s (Standard) and 7.8s (Long Range).
  • Kia quotes 10–80% DC fast-charging in roughly 29 minutes for the Standard Range and 31 minutes for the Long Range on a high-power charger.
  • The EV4 uses front-wheel drive, undercutting the Tesla Model 3 on price and sitting above the BYD Seal Dynamic, which both offer rear-wheel drive.
  • Australia gets the Korean-built sedan now, the Slovakia-built hatch is not part of the launch, the dual-motor EV4 GT is under study, and ANCAP testing is pending after strong Euro NCAP results.
