Kia EV4 Launches in Australia From $49,990

The Korea-built electric sedan arrives as a lower-priced alternative to Tesla's Model 3, with BYD's Seal remaining cheaper.

  • Customer deliveries are due later this month following the formal release of Australian pricing and specifications.
  • The range comprises Air ($49,990), Earth ($59,190) and GT-Line ($64,690), with 58.3kWh or 81.4kWh NMC batteries and a 150kW front motor across all variants.
  • WLTP range is rated at 456km for the Standard Range and 612km for the Long Range, with 0–100km/h claims of 7.4s and 7.8s respectively.
  • Kia quotes 10–80% DC fast-charging times of about 29–31 minutes, and standard tech includes dual 12.3-inch displays, OTA updates, V2L, and Highway Driving Assist 2.
  • The Australian EV4 is sourced from South Korea; the Slovakian-built hatch and the EV4 GT remain under study, and ANCAP testing has not yet been completed.
