Overview

• Satish Sharma and MLA Tanvir Sadiq unveiled the Himalayan Kingfisher mascot, festival logo, anthem, jingle and official kits on August 14 in Srinagar.
• The inaugural Khelo India Water Sports Festival runs August 21–23 with rowing, canoeing and kayaking as medal events alongside demonstration races in water skiing, shikara and dragon boat.
• Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council is hosting the event in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Sports Authority of India, supported by multiple local departments.
