KFC Pledges £1.49bn to Expand UK and Ireland Restaurant Network

The five-year programme will open 500 restaurants, upgrade one-fifth of outlets, generate over 7,000 jobs

  • The chain will deploy £466m to establish 500 outlets over the next decade, prioritising drive-thru and flagship locations in regions such as Ireland and North West England.

  • KFC projects a £169m gross value added boost to the UK economy and aims to capture part of the £3.1bn annual fried chicken market.
  • Job creation funds of £583m will generate roles in restaurants, supply chains and corporate functions, including kitchen staff, managers and a newly introduced 'guest experience' lead role.
  • More than 200 sites—around 20% of KFC’s UK and Ireland estate—will receive redesigns and digital upgrades to modernise the customer experience.
