Key Trump Ally Hands Over Thousands of Documents to Special Counsel Investigating 2020 Election

Former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik, who worked with Rudy Giuliani to investigate false claims of voter fraud after the 2020 election, has turned over thousands of pages of documents to special counsel Jack Smith's office.
The documents provide details into the efforts by Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election results based on unfounded conspiracy theories.
Kerik initially tried to shield the documents but later reached an agreement with Trump's legal team to share them with investigators.
The materials are expected to give insight into Trump's mindset and decision-making regarding his baseless assertions of widespread election fraud.
In addition to providing documents, Kerik is scheduled to voluntarily interview with Smith's team in August as part of the probe into the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.
