Key Races Could Shift Congressional Power in Upcoming Elections

Voters will decide crucial Senate and House races that may determine the legislative landscape for the next presidency.

Overview

Several pivotal Senate races, including those in Texas, Nebraska, and Maryland, could influence which party controls the chamber.
Democrats face a challenging Senate map, needing to defend more seats than Republicans, who only need to flip two for a majority.
House races in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin are considered potential bellwethers for party control in the lower chamber.
Texas' Senate race is a focal point, with Democrat Colin Allred posing a strong challenge to incumbent Republican Ted Cruz.
The outcome of these races will significantly impact the legislative capabilities of the next U.S. president, whether it be Kamala Harris or Donald Trump.
