Overview
- Mohammad Sharifullah, an ISIS-K member, has been extradited to the U.S. to face charges related to the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing in Kabul that killed 13 U.S. service members and approximately 170 Afghan civilians.
- Sharifullah admitted to scouting the attack route for the bomber and coordinating with ISIS-K operatives during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
