Kevin Sinfield Surpasses £777k Goal as 7-in-7 MND Run Enters Scotland

The effort has cleared its £777,777 target to support six MND charities.

Overview

  • Sinfield completed Day 5 from Workington to Whitehaven, drawing large West Cumbria crowds and running a segment with England head coach Steve Borthwick.
  • Donations reported on Friday ranged from about £787,000 to more than £813,000, pushing his multi-year MND fundraising beyond £10 million.
  • Day 6 takes the route from Carnoustie to Dundee, with the final leg set to finish at AMT Headingley Rugby Stadium in Leeds on Sunday.
  • Proceeds from the '7 in 7: Together' challenge will be shared among six organisations, including the MND Association, Leeds Hospitals Charity, My Name’s Doddie Foundation, MND Scotland, the Irish MND Association and the Darby Rimmer Foundation.
  • The challenge, run in memory of Rob Burrow, features a daily 'Extra Mile' inviting people affected by MND to join and keeps the symbolic number seven at its core.
