Kevin Porter Jr. Reaches Plea Deal on Assault, Harassment Charges

The former Rockets guard agreed to a charge of reckless assault and harassment, with a chance to clear his record after a year of compliance.

  • Former Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. has reached a plea deal on charges of assault and harassment involving his ex-girlfriend, former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick.
  • Porter pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and a harassment violation, agreeing to a charge of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree.
  • As part of the plea deal, Porter must complete a 26-week Abusive Partner Intervention Program, abide by a limited order of protection, attend all court dates, and have no further arrests.
  • If Porter complies with these conditions for a year, he will be allowed to withdraw the plea, effectively clearing his criminal record.
  • Porter, currently a free agent, was traded from the Rockets to the Oklahoma City Thunder in October and was immediately waived.
