Kevin Ollie joins Brooklyn Nets coaching staff as assistant after failed Pistons bid

Kevin Ollie is being hired as an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets.
Ollie previously won an NCAA championship as Connecticut's coach in 2014 and was a candidate for the Detroit Pistons head coaching job this year
Ollie spent the past two years leading the Overtime Elite program, an Atlanta-based pro basketball development program.
Ollie played 13 seasons in the NBA, has a reputation as a leader, and helped develop star players like Kevin Durant.
Ollie led UConn to an NCAA championship in 2014 but was fired in 2018 amid an NCAA investigation.
