Kevin Franke, husband of former YouTube family vlogger Ruby Franke, has filed for divorce three months after Ruby was arrested and charged with six counts of felony child abuse.
The couple's 12-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter were found malnourished and in poor condition, leading to Ruby's arrest and the children being placed into state custody.
Ruby Franke and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, ran a popular YouTube channel called 8 Passengers, which was taken down following Ruby's arrest.
Kevin Franke's attorney, Randy Kester, stated that the couple had been separated for about a year, during which Kevin was unaware of the alleged abuse.
Ruby Franke remains in custody without bail, awaiting a yet-to-be-scheduled court hearing.
