Durant's achievement came during a game against the Denver Nuggets, despite the Suns losing 119-111.
Durant has scored 27,423 points in the regular season, with Carmelo Anthony and Shaquille O’Neal next in line for him to surpass.
Durant was acquired by the Suns from Brooklyn in a four-team trade shortly after new Suns owner Mat Ishbia took control of the team.
Despite a cold second half in the game against the Nuggets, Durant managed to score 30 points, extending his franchise-record streak of scoring 25-plus points in 16 consecutive games.
