- RFK Racing confirmed the 2012 Cup champion will skip the Feb. 1 exhibition at Bowman Gray as he continues recovery from a broken right femur.
- Corey LaJoie will drive the No. 6 Ford for the Clash and serve as RFK’s standby at the season start, bringing nearly 300 Cup starts and a 2012 Bowman Gray victory.
- Keselowski fractured his femur on Dec. 18 after slipping on ice in Boone, North Carolina, underwent emergency surgery, and initially experienced nerve numbness from knee to hip.
- He is completing six to eight hours of rehab daily under Atrium Health oversight and reports returning sensation and improved mobility.
