Kerala Teen Athlete Alleges Sexual Abuse by Over 60 Individuals Over 5 Years

Police have arrested 15 suspects, including coaches and classmates, as investigations into the disturbing case continue.

An 18-year-old Dalit athlete in Kerala alleged sexual abuse by over 60 individuals, including coaches, fellow athletes, and classmates, since the age of 13.
The case came to light during a counseling session after teachers noticed changes in the victim's behavior and alerted the Child Welfare Committee.
Police have registered five FIRs across two stations in Pathanamthitta district and arrested 15 suspects so far, with more arrests expected as the investigation progresses.
Explicit photos and videos of the victim, allegedly used to coerce and threaten her, were found, and over 40 suspects have been identified through her father's mobile phone records and her personal diary.
The case involves charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, the Indian Penal Code, and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
