Kerala Sets August Conclave to Shape New Malayalam Film Policy

About 500 delegates will gather in Thiruvananthapuram to review a draft framework based on expert committee recommendations for ratification within six months.

  • The conclave is scheduled for August 2–3 at the Kerala Legislative Assembly and will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
  • Nine thematic panels will address issues ranging from gender equality and workplace safety to labor law applicability, e-ticketing, future technologies and freedom of expression.
  • Around 500 delegates from 17 Indian states with existing cinema policies will join film personalities from France, Italy, Korea, Japan, the UAE, the UK and various Indian industries.
