Overview

  • Mukesh M. Nair, accused of inappropriate behaviour toward a minor during a February reel shoot, appeared as a guest at Fort High School’s Praveshanolsavam on June 2.
  • School officials said they did not invite Nair and were unaware of his attendance or his POCSO-accused status.
  • An external organisation that supplies school materials arranged Nair’s participation and his name and image did not feature on any official event banners.
  • Kovalam police are investigating the February misconduct complaint that was filed in April against Mukesh M. Nair.
  • Earlier this year a POCSO court granted Nair bail, allowing him to remain free while both educational and criminal inquiries proceed.
