Kerala Launches Statewide Citizen Response Programme for Policy Blueprint
Volunteer teams will collect ward-level feedback in early 2026 to shape a blueprint for future state policy.
Overview
- Fieldwork is scheduled from January 1 to February 28, 2026 across all 140 Assembly constituencies, with outreach to homes, institutions and public spaces.
- A four-member State Level Advisory Committee—A. Jayathilak, K. M. Abraham, K. Jayakumar and Saji Gopinath—will guide the effort alongside a State Implementation Committee.
- Four volunteers will be assigned to every ward from the state’s registered volunteer force, with NSS, NCC and professional students eligible to participate.
- The study will assess local concerns including drug prevention, communal harmony, agro-industry, transport gaps, public amenities, elderly care, healthcare and human–wildlife conflicts.
- A consolidated report based on the collected inputs is due by March 31, 2026 to inform future development and welfare measures.
