  • Devaswom Minister V. N. Vasavan met M. K. Stalin in Chennai to extend the formal invitation for the Pampa gathering.
  • Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the one-day event, which is part of the Travancore Devaswom Board’s platinum jubilee.
  • Organisers expect around 3,000 international delegates and participation from Union Ministers and other state Chief Ministers.
  • A 1,001-member organising committee has been set up with the Kerala Chief Minister as chief patron to oversee arrangements.
  • The summit will discuss the Rs 1,033-crore, three-phase Sabarimala Master Plan and promote the ‘Thathwamasi’ ethos and spiritual tourism, as the BJP criticises the initiative as electoral appeasement.
