• At the state event titled “Malayalam Vaanolam, Laal Salam” at Central Stadium on October 4, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presented Mohanlal with a citation by poet Prabha Varma, a memento, and a painting by A. Ramachandran.

• Vijayan praised Mohanlal as the pride of Malayalis, highlighting his five-decade versatility and his role in elevating Malayalam cinema.
• A large crowd of admirers, ministers, and industry veterans attended, with cultural performances and tributes featuring figures such as Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Ambika, and director Joshiy.
• Mohanlal received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award from President Droupadi Murmu at the 71st National Film Awards on September 23, the first Malayalam artist so honoured since Adoor Gopalakrishnan in 2004.
