Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Meets Kuwait Deputy PM, Secures Investment Delegation Pledge

Overview

• Vijayan held talks at Bayan Palace with Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, with Finance Minister and Kuwait Investment Authority chairman Dr Sabeeh Al Mukhazim present.
• Kuwait Investment Authority board member Sheikh Mishal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah said a delegation will visit Kerala to explore investment opportunities.
• The Chief Minister outlined sectoral projects for potential funding, joined by Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak and Lulu Group chairman M. A. Yusuff Ali.
• Sheikh Fahad praised the contributions of the Indian community, including Keralites, to Kuwait’s development, and Vijayan thanked Kuwait for supporting expatriates.
• The Kuwait stop is part of a GCC tour after Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, marking the first Kerala CM visit to the country in 28 years, with a community address on November 7 and a UAE leg on November 9.
