- Rajeev Chandrasekhar has unveiled a 23-member core committee, the largest in Kerala BJP history, to drive an organisational overhaul before December’s local body elections.

- The state unit has been set a target to raise its vote share from 19 percent to 25 percent in December’s local body elections.
- O. Rajagopal and A. N. Radhakrishnan were omitted from the committee to make way for broader youth, minority and community representation.
