Overview
- The Census self-enumeration portal (https://se.census.gov.in) opens Tuesday, June 16 at 6 a.m. and will accept household responses through June 30.
- Field verification by enumerators is scheduled from July 1 to July 30, when enumerators will visit homes to confirm portal entries using a mobile app.
- Kerala has identified about 61,282 enumerators and 10,189 supervisors for Phase I, while Thiruvananthapuram district will deploy 5,527 enumerators and keep 553 enumerators and 93 supervisors on reserve.
- Officials say individual records will not be published, respondents who complete online entry must provide an 11-digit SE ID to enumerators, and the operation will use web mapping and a Census Management and Monitoring System to manage work.
