- Health and Women and Child Development Minister Veena George unveiled the revised menu on June 3 during the state-level Praveshanolsavam reopening ceremony in Pathanamthitta.
- The new model menu standardises breakfast, lunch and general feeding across more than 33,000 anganwadis in Kerala.
- Protein-rich dishes such as egg biryani, vegetable pulao, dal payasam, soya dry curry and nutri laddus have been introduced.
- Milk and eggs will now be provided three times a week instead of two to boost children’s protein intake.
- Each dish on the menu includes detailed ingredient lists and nutritional values as part of a broader smart-anganwadi infrastructure upgrade.
