Overview

• Major General Paul Owuor Otieno met COAS General Upendra Dwivedi to discuss advancing bilateral defence cooperation and regional security.
• He was received by Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at South Block Lawns and laid a wreath at the National War Memorial.
• Talks covered operational, training and hydrographic engagements, the multilateral Exercise AIKEYME, and consolidation under the India–Kenya ‘BAHARI’ Maritime Vision.
• His programme includes visits to the IFC-IOR in Gurugram and Southern Naval Command training establishments in Kochi to expand training and information-sharing.
• The visit follows a September 25 port call at Mombasa by the Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron, which conducted joint activities with the Kenya Navy.
