Kentucky Coworkers Win $50,000 from Holiday Gift Scratch-Off Lottery Tickets

After a series of smaller wins, the team's final ticket won the second-biggest prize, resulting in each of the 21 members taking home around $1,750 after taxes.

Sheila Colter, a second shift supervisor at Med Center Health Environmental Services in Bowling Green, Kentucky, gifted her team with scratch-off lottery tickets as holiday presents.
The team initially won $50 from a $30 ticket, which they used to buy a $50 ticket that won $100.
They used the $100 to buy two more $50 tickets, one of which won them $50,000.
After taxes, the group received a check for $35,750, which split between the 21 of them, resulted in each person taking home around $1,750.
One of the winners, Winnie Beckman, plans to use her share of the winnings to buy medicine for her mother who has stage four cancer.
