Overview
- Princess of Wales will host the service with the theme "love in all its forms," highlighting connection across families, friendships, communities and strangers.
- Readings and performances are confirmed from Kate Winslet, Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith of Bastille and Chiwetel Ejiofor, alongside the Westminster Abbey choir.
- About 1,600 guests will attend, with many nominated by Lord-Lieutenants and charities associated with the royal household.
- Horticulturist Jamie Butterworth will stage a natural festive welcome outside the Abbey, while Royal Horticultural Society wreaths made with ambassadors and schoolchildren will decorate the interior.
- Fifteen community carol services will take place across the UK under the same theme, hosted by Lord-Lieutenants and supported by The Royal Foundation.
