Kenny Albert has been confirmed as the new primary play-by-play announcer for the New York Rangers on MSG Networks.
Sam Rosen is retiring at the conclusion of the current season, ending a 40-year tenure as the voice of the Rangers.
Albert, 57, has been the Rangers' lead radio play-by-play announcer since the 1995-96 season and also works with TNT Sports.
Alex Faust is expected to fill in as the Rangers' radio announcer when Albert is unavailable for games.
MSG Networks is expected to make an official announcement about Albert’s new role in the coming days.
