Kendrick Lamar Makes History with Billboard Hot 100 and 200 Dominance

The surprise release of Lamar's album 'GNX' secures top album and song chart positions, including all top five spots on the Hot 100.

Kendrick Lamar's surprise album 'GNX' debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking his fifth consecutive chart-topping album.
'GNX' achieved 319,000 equivalent album units in its first week, including 379.92 million on-demand streams, the biggest streaming week for any R&B/hip-hop album in 2024.
Lamar became one of only four artists in history to occupy the entire top five of the Billboard Hot 100, joining Taylor Swift, Drake, and The Beatles.
The album's lead single 'Squabble Up' debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, with other tracks from 'GNX' taking the No. 2 through No. 5 spots, plus two additional entries in the top 10.
The release continues Lamar's highly successful year, which included a publicized feud with Drake and previous chart-topping singles 'Not Like Us' and 'Like That.'
