Kendrick Lamar Becomes First Rapper With Three Albums in Billboard Top 10 Simultaneously

Kendrick Lamar's 'GNX' returned to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after selling 236,000 equivalent album units, boosted by its physical release and his Super Bowl halftime show.
Lamar's 2017 album 'DAMN.' climbed from No. 29 to No. 9, while his 2012 release 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' rose from No. 27 to No. 10, marking their first Top 10 appearances in years.
This achievement makes Lamar the first rap artist in the Billboard 200's nearly 69-year history to have three albums in the Top 10 simultaneously.
The halftime show, featuring performances of hits like 'Not Like Us' and appearances by SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, and Serena Williams, became the most-watched in history with 133.5 million viewers.
Lamar joins a rare group of artists, including Taylor Swift and Prince, to achieve this feat, and is the first living male artist to do so since Herb Alpert in 1966.
