Ken Klee Takes Over as PWHL Minnesota Head Coach

Former NHL defenseman replaces Charlie Burggraf just a week before the start of the inaugural season.

Charlie Burggraf has stepped down as head coach of PWHL Minnesota, just a week before the start of the inaugural season.
Ken Klee, a former NHL defenseman and successful coach of the U.S. Women's National Team, has been named as Burggraf's replacement.
Burggraf, who has deep roots in Minnesota hockey, did not elaborate on his reasons for stepping down, but wished the team and the league success.
Klee has a proven track record, having led the U.S. Women's National Team to gold medals at the 2015 and 2016 IIHF Women's World Championships, and Four Nations Cup titles.
PWHL Minnesota will open its inaugural season on January 3 in Boston.
