• Optimo partner Jonnie Wilkes announced the death on Saturday, saying McIvor passed at 2:06pm on Friday at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow.
• McIvor co-founded the Optimo Sunday night at Sub Club in 1997, a genre-fluid institution that ran weekly until 2010 and hosted acts including LCD Soundsystem and TV On the Radio.
