Keir and Victoria Starmer Visit Auschwitz, Condemn Rising Antisemitism

The UK Prime Minister and his wife made an emotional visit to Auschwitz, highlighting personal and historical connections amid global concerns over antisemitism.

Victoria Starmer, whose Jewish father’s family fled Poland in the 1920s, returned to Auschwitz with her husband, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, marking his first visit to the site.
The visit comes against the backdrop of increasing antisemitic hate crimes globally, particularly following the October 2023 attacks by Hamas in Israel.
Keir Starmer described the harrowing experience of witnessing the preserved artifacts of the Holocaust and reaffirmed his commitment to combating antisemitism and hatred in all forms.
Victoria Starmer’s decision to accompany her husband reflects her personal connection to the Holocaust and her family’s history of fleeing Nazi persecution.
