Keelan Harvick, 13, Wins Snowflake 125 in Record-Setting Late-Night Drive

He charged from 15th at Five Flags Speedway after a rain-pushed 1:30 a.m. start to edge Tristan McKee with Kaden Honeycutt third.

Overview

  • Persistent rain delayed the Pro Late Model showcase to the early hours, with the green flag around 1:30 a.m. and the finish near 4:30 a.m. local time.
  • Harvick reached the top five by Lap 40, took the lead just inside 50 to go, dropped to fourth after a missed-shift restart with 46 left, then regained the lead with 24 remaining.
  • Tristan McKee placed second and Kaden Honeycutt finished third, followed by Isaac Kitzmiller in fourth and polesitter Luke Baldwin in fifth.
  • This year marked the first running at 125 laps, drawing more than 60 entries for 37 starting spots in a deep field.
  • Driving the No. 62 prepared by Rackley W.A.R. with Hunt Brothers Pizza backing, Harvick became the event’s youngest winner, surpassing Hunter Robbins’ 2005 record at age 14, and he acknowledged the restart mistake in victory lane.
