- The October 18 survey recorded 146 species and 1,919 individual birds across the Kaziranga landscape.
- Coverage spanned Agoratoli, Gamiri, Panbari, Panpur and Laokhowa, with Agoratoli leading at 89 species and others at 59, 59, 55 and 37.
- Findings included two endangered species—Swamp Grass Babbler and Pallas’s Fish Eagle—along with six vulnerable and six near threatened species.
- Notable sightings ranged from Great Hornbill and Greater Spotted Eagle to Woolly-necked Stork, Blue-naped Pitta and Bluethroat.
- Sixty-three participants took part, including students, researchers, birders and forest officials, with notable involvement of women forest staff.
